Michigan basketball's Elliot Cadeau suffered a possible allergic reaction, delaying his Final Four travel to Indianapolis.

Beyond timing, it's not a good situation, albeit hopefully one that is seemingly being resolved. According to the AP, Michigan basketball point guard Elliot Cadeau did not travel with the Wolverines to Indianapolis for the Final Four, instead being treated for having suffered a possible allergic reaction to something he ate. Via the Associated Press : Detroit radio station WWJ 950 posted aย  video on X ย on Wednesday showing a covered individual being wheeled out of Michigan's player development center on a gurney and loaded into a Huron Valley ambulance.

Michigan later confirmed it was Cadeau, who complained of a possible allergic reaction. "Before the team departed the Player Development Center today, Elliot alerted the medical staff that he may have had an allergic reaction to something that he ate," the team said in a statement. "The doctors evaluated Elliot and he is fine.

Out of an abundance of caution, he is receiving medical supervision and will be traveling to Indianapolis later today. " The good news is that it appears to be somewhat precautionary, and that he seems to be OK. Assuming that's the case, he'll just be behind his teammates and should be good to go.

The timing, as noted, isn't ideal, especially considering that the Wolverines are already without backup point guard LJ Cason, who tore his ACL in the Big Ten Tournament. The Wolverines don't take the court at the Final Four until Saturday night, at 8:49 p. m.
