Maxim Strbak has signed entry level contract with Buffalo Sabers
Maxim Strbak has signed an entry level contract with Buffalo Sabers to kick off his pro career.
Michigan State hockey saw their season come to an end in heartbreaking fashion this past weekend, but it is now time to turn the page, and that is exactly what members of the program are doing. Following Porter Martone and Trey Augustine signing entry level contracts, Maxim Strbak has announced his jump into the professional ranks. Strbak has signed his entry level contract with the Buffalo Sabers, the team that drafted him in the second round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
His contract will begin as an ATO for the remainder of the 2025-26 season, where he will be joining the Rochester Americans. The Slovakian defenseman appeared in 102 NCAA games with MSU from 2023 to 2026 and registered 46 points. He also served as an alternate captain for Team Slovakia at the 2025 World Junior Championship.
