Sixers' Nick Nurse lays out goals for the final seven games of season
Philadelphia 76ers coach Nick Nurse lays out his goals for the team over the final seven games of the season.
WASHINGTON -- The Philadelphia 76ers have seven games remaining on the 2025-26 season as they look to continue their push into the top 6 in the East to guarantee themselves a playoff spot. The Sixers are only a game back of the Toronto Raptors for the sixth and final guaranteed spot in the East and Philadelphia owns the tiebreaker due to better division record. With that being said, while the Sixers obviously want to win games over these final seven, coach Nick Nurse is looking for more technical things over the final stretch of the season as he looks to get everybody on the same page before the postseason.
That means making sure Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Paul George get their looks within the offensive ecosystem. Nurse wants to get those three their shots, of course, but he wants it done within the flow of the offense rather than forcing anything. "I just wanna try to use what we have the best we can, right?
" Nurse said. "I’m not even sure what that means other than I think that there’s certainly Joel’s gonna be a focal point. Certainly Tyrese is.
Paul, where can we use him the best? Where can he have his runs in games? And there’s others, too.
