DiMartini, Lambdin boast Duke's power in win over Davidson

Yahoo Sports

The Duke Blue Devils showcased their power once more, scoring 10+ runs for the third consecutive game as they took down Davidson College.

Following Sunday's win against ACC-leading Florida State, the Duke Blue Devils were back in action Tuesday in Durham against Davidson College. The Blue Devils offense exploded once more, scoring in double digits for their third straight game. Centerfielder Michael DiMartini led the charge, hitting two home runs and a double, going 3-for-5 with two RBIs.

Prior to the game, DiMartini had just three home runs to his name all season. Jake Lambdin also joined in on the fun, going 2-for-3 with a home run, a single, a walk and a sacrifice fly. Lambdin finished the game with a whopping five RBIs.

With the win, the Blue Devils moved to 19-12 overall and now carry an impressive home record of 16-6. The Blue Devils will have Wednesday off before hosting the Louisville Cardinals for a three-game set beginning Thursday. A series win would give Duke a chance to leapfrog Louisville in the ACC standings, as the Cardinals enter Thursday's game one spot ahead of the Blue Devils.
