Florida State head coach Mike Norvell says that true freshman wide receivers Devin Carter and Jasen Lopez will playing significant snaps in 2026.

If there's one position group that Florida State fans can be excited about in 2026, it's wide receiver. Returning will be First-Team All-ACC performer Duce Robinson, the explosive Micahi Danzy, and sophomore Jayvan Boggs. That alone is huge for FSU, but they have a fresh haul of talented freshman wide receivers coming in as well.

Two in particular are making waves in spring practice with the top three guys being limited. According to head coach Mike Norvell, they're Jasen Lopez and Devin Carter. In fact, not only are both players taking advantage of their opportunities, but Norvell stated that each will see the field quite a bit during the upcoming season.

"Devin and Jasenโ€”they're going to play," Norvell said via Noles247 . "They'd have to regress significantly from where they are now not to. I'm not saying they're first line, but they definitely belong in what we're asking them to do.

" As a legacy recruit and a composite four-star prospect, Carter has a huge spotlight on him. He's been getting some steady prasie during the spring, and if he can continue this trajectory, it will be a huge benefit to Florida State. Lopez is FSU's highest-rated receiver in the 2026 class.
