The subject of intense scrutiny for his calls that had to be reversed in games Saturday and Tuesday , Bucknor's assignment behind the plate for an afternoon clash between the Brewers and Rays in Milwaukee on Wednesday, April 1, Bucknor had to leave in the top of the second inning after being hit by a foul ball. With Brewers flamethrower Jacob Misiorowski on the mound, Rays catcher Nick Fortes just nicked a 100. 2 mph fastball that hit Bucknor directly in the front of his mask.
