Ex-Rams WR Lance McCutcheon returns to NFL less than a month after retiring
Lance McCutcheon announced his retirement from the NFL in early March, but he's changed his mind and decided to keep playing.
Former Los Angeles Rams receiver Lance McCutcheon announced his retirement from the NFL in early March, calling it a career after four seasons in the league. As it turns out, he had second thoughts about stepping away. NFL Networkโs Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that McCutcheon isnโt retiring and is instead signing a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans.
McCutcheon last played for the Titans in 2025, so he remains with the team that most recently gave him a shot on the practice squad. McCutcheon, 27, came into the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Rams in 2022, signing with Los Angeles after playing his college ball at Montana State. He was a fan favorite and made the initial 53-man roster as a rookie that year, leading the league in receiving yards during the 2022 preseason.
