Texas Football building strong recruiting 'base' to 2027 class
The Texas 2027 class is starting to come togethe with a "baseline" three stars forming early. That "baseline" is incredibly strong right now.
Jackson Cook, Westlake OL and Texas legacy, joined the Longhorns 2027 recruiting class Tuesday and pushed the hard commits to seven . Easton Royal leads the class and will be the major priority for Steve Sarkisian and Texas until pen hits paper. That being said, I’m more interested in the construction of the rest of the class.
It’s still very early in the cycle but there seems to be a clear pattern and strategy forming for Brandon Harris and Texas. Thus far, Texas has commitments from Easton Royal, Cameron Hall and five three-star players. Along with Cook, names like JT Geraci, Cade Haug, Karnell “Greedy” James and Ty Knutson fill out the “baseline” of the class.
None of those players are ranked in the Top 300, according to 247Sports. That being said, there's a unique upside to everyone of these players. Newest 2027 #Texas LB commit Cade Haug ( @CadeHaug ) broke the Kingwood record for career TFL and tackles in the fall.
