Excitement at Liverpool about future world-class front three There's reportedly excitement at Liverpool about their future front-three. It's one we'll be seeing a lot of. Liverpool spent over £400m in the summer and the majority of that went on reshaping their attack.

First, they broke their transfer record to sign from Bayer Leverkusen. The playmaker became their first-ever nine-figure signing in the process. He was followed by Hugo Ekitike , who signed from Eintracht Frankfurt for around £80m.

But that wasn’t all. Liverpool then went out and broke the British transfer record with a deal for Alexander Isak with Newcastle United. It was an incredible amount of money but the Reds figured they were signing a world-class player.

We haven’t actually seen the best of them, however. Liverpool brought in the trio but fitness issues with Isak, followed by a leg break, have kept him sidelined for the majority of the campaign. Thus the plan hasn’t really been seen.
