Before suffering his Achilles injury last May, Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum was one of the five best players in the NBA. He was coming off four straight First Team All-NBA selections and top six MVP finishes, cementing his status as one of the league's premier players. It's been four weeks since Tatum returned from his Achilles injury, and he hasn't been quite the same player he was before the injury.
He's still really good, but his shooting's been off and he hasn't played like a superstar. Instead, he's been more of a No. 2, taking a backseat to Jaylen Brown.
That changed last week, however, when Tatum had his two best games of the season, scoring 58 points combined in victories against the Atlanta Hawks and Charlotte Hornets en route to winning NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors. So is Tatum fully back? Robert Parish doesn't think so , but Celtics reporter Gary Washburn also weighed in this week .
