Lincolnton (N. C. ) four-star linebacker Jalaythan Mayfield has accumulated numerous high-profile offers throughout his recruitment.
He’s continued to whittle his list of top programs down ahead of his senior season. Mayfield tells Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong that he’s now down to five: Georgia , Indiana , Kentucky , Miami and Oregon . The 6-foot-1, 215-pounder is set to commit this summer on July 17.
Mayfield is the No. 204 overall prospect and No. 18 LB in the 2027 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking , a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies.
He’s also the No. 10 player in North Carolina. Rivals ranks him higher than other recruiting services.
