Spring (Texas) Klein Oak four-star running back Micah Rhodes , one of the top prospects in the 2028 cycle, tells Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett that he has decommitted from Oklahoma . He pledged to the Sooners earlier this year on Jan. 29, but is now back on the board just a couple of months later.

He originally chose OU over Texas, Texas A&M and others. DeMarco Murray was instrumental in Oklahoma’s recruitment of Rhodes. Last month, it was reported that Murray was leaving his post as OU running backs coach for the same position with the Kansas City Chiefs.

“To be honest with you, I don’t know, man,” Rhodes told OU Insider’s Parker Thune when reacting to Murray’s departure. “It’s a lot of emotion going on right now. I’m happy for Coach, stepping his career up and going to do something that’ll help his career and help his family out and stuff like that.
