MSU Women's Basketball Players Hit Transfer Portal, Spartan Team Lacks Depth

Yahoo Sports

MSU’s Women's Basketball players have hit the transfer portal, leaving the team with few options for depth. Ines Sotelo and Juliann Woodard departures are particularly noteworthy.

After a disappointing end to the season that saw MSU's Women's Basketball team fail to improve their tournament run from the previous year, head coach Robyn Fralick has been hit with news of several players heading for the transfer portal. The departures include Ines Sotelo, who was part of the group but is now gone; Juliann Woodard, a 2nd-year forward who averaged less than 10 minutes per game this season; and guard Jordan Ode, MSU's highest-ranked recruit from last year who redshirted this season. With these departures and the graduation of several seniors, the Spartan roster is looking very bare right now.

Coach Fralick will need to be aggressive in hitting the portal to build a team for next season.
