Jaguars named landing spot for 6-time All-Pro free agent linebacker

Yahoo Sports

One analyst has named the Jaguars a landing spot for six-time All-Pro free agent linebacker.

One NFL analyst believes that the Jacksonville Jaguars should attempt to bolster the linebacker position by signing one of the best available free agents. Carter Bahns of CBS Sports put together his list of potential landing spots for veteran Bobby Wagner, and included the Jaguars . "With  Devin Lloyd  out the door, the  Jacksonville Jaguars  suddenly need another starter to pair with Foyesade Oluokun," Bahns wrote.

"Nobody would confuse Wagner with Lloyd in terms of sideline-to-sideline coverage ability, but he would be sure to prevent regression in run defense. " Wagner is a  10-time Pro Bowler  and has been a first-team All-Pro six times. Wagner was most recently a Pro Bowler and a second-team All-Pro in 2024.

Last season, he logged 20 pressures as a blitzer, he's been an incredibly reliable tackler in his career, and logged two interceptions and two pass breakups in 2025, per PFF . The addition of Wagner would provide experience to this position group, something the Jaguars do not have a lot of outside of Foye Oluokun. While the starting linebacker role next to Oluokun is available, internally, the Jaguars seem quite bullish about Ventrell Miller.

Jacksonville also owns 11 draft picks, including four selections in the top 100, to further add competition to this unit. So if the Jaguars are interested in making an outside addition at linebacker, that may not come until after the draft, when James Gladstone is able to see what the roster exactly looks like.
