NY Giants news: D.J. Davidson joins NFC East rival Washington Commanders
Backup defensive tackle stays within the division.
D. J. Davidson Considering the New York Giants relative inactivity thus far in restocking their defensive tackle position, it has been clear that D.
J. Davidson did not have a future with the team. Well, now Davidson has signed with the NFC East rival Washington Commanders .
A 2022 fifth-round pick by the Giants, Davidson appeared in 47 games with just two starts for the Giants over four seasons. He had 2. 5 sacks and 49 tackles while serving as a rotational player.
Only four of the 11 players GM Joe Schoen selected in the 2022 NFL Draft have a chance to be Giants in 2026. Kayvon Thibodeaux and Micah McFadden should be on the 53-man roster, barring a trade of Thibodeaux. Offensive linemen Evan Neal and Josh Ezeudu are also being given a chance by head coach John Harbaugh to salvage their failing careers.
