The Georgia Bulldogs basketball program is undergoing a lot of changes with three players announcing plans to transfer so far

The Georgia Bulldogs basketball program is at a crossroads after making back-to-back NCAA Tournaments. Coach Mike White and Georgia have three consecutive 20-win seasons and have built up a lot of positive momentum, but Georgia has back-to-back March Madness defeats and both of them came in blowout fashion. Georgia has to reload again for the 2026-2027 season, but the Bulldogs be returning several of their top players from this past season.

Georgia's leading scorer Jeremiah Wilkinson announced his plans to transfer after spending one season in Athens. The Bulldogs' top interior defender and dunk specialist Somto Cyril, an All-SEC defensive team selection, plans to transfer as does forward Dylan James, who was one of Georgia's rotation players. Georgia will return guard Marcus "Smurf" Millender for the 2026-2027 season, which helps solidify the Bulldogs' roster a bit.

Georgia is awaiting key decisions from guard Blue Cain, forward Kanon Catchings, guard Jordan Ross, forward Jake Wilkins and forward Kareem Stagg. Georgia will lose forward Justin Abson and guard Justin Bailey, who are out of eligibility.
