The French capitalized on their wins over Brazil and Colombia, combined with Spain’s slip-up, as they drew with Egypt and lost the top spot.
Argentina, meanwhile, dropped one place and completes the podium of the three best national teams on the planet, according to the FIFA ranking. Brazil, coached by Carlo Ancelotti, finished the friendly window in sixth place. The result represents a drop of one position compared to November 2025.
The situation, however, could have been worse. After the defeat to France last week, Brazil briefly fell to seventh place. A crucial 3-1 win over Croatia, combined with the Netherlands’ draw against Ecuador, secured their return to sixth place.
