Is the Ernie Adams effect starting to take place over at Phillips Academy (Andover, Mass. )? The former New England Patriots’ Football Research Director was tabbed as the Big Blue head coach in mid-February of his alma mater, bringing plenty of interest to the program nationally.

Now one of the top high school football quarterbacks out of New England is heading Adams way. According to a social media announcement , top Rhode Island high school football quarterback Landon Husereau is transferring from Westerly (RI) to Phillips Academy and reclassifying to the Class of 2028. Husereau last season threw for 2,829 yards and a state record 40 touchdowns in leading the Bulldogs to the Rhode Island Interscholastic League (RIIL) Division 2 state championship.

The 2028 signal caller also owns the state’s all-time touchdowns record with 90 scores thrown. “Excited to announce I’ll be transferring to (Phillips Academy), and reclassing to the Class of 2028. (Westerly) will always be home.
