Wie West missed the cut at Pebble Beach that year, falling well short of the heroics she produced at Pinehurst to lift the trophy in 2014. The 36-year-old is now using her eligibility from that success to compete in this year’s event, much to the delight of her PGA Tour counterpart Justin Rose. ” Many other profile names have also been celebrating the news, including former tennis star Genie Bouchard, who commented: “Let’s gooooooo. ” Michelle Wie West continues commitment to golfing return Fans at the US Women’s Open will be counting down the days until they get to see their former favorite in action. She’ll undoubtedly be motivated by her missed cut in 2023, which incidentally represents the last year an American lifted the trophy.
