The Broncos are scouting late-round quarterbacks in the 2026 NFL draft.

With Jarrett Stidham (29) and Sam Ehlinger (27) both scheduled to become free agents in 2027, the Denver Broncos are looking at developmental quarterback prospects ahead of the 2026 NFL draft. Monmouth (FCS) quarterback Derek Robertson recently had a virtual interview with Logan Kilgore, Denver's new quarterbacks coach . "It [was] a really cool opportunity," Robertson said of the Zoom call during an interview with Jimmy Williams of NFL Draft Diamonds .

Robertson (6-2, 214 pounds) spent four years with the Maine Black Bears (FCS) before transferring to the Hawks for the final two seasons of his college career. He earned CAA Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2024 and was named a second-team All-CAA player in 2025. Robertson totaled 6,419 passing yards with 58 touchdowns against 11 interceptions in two years (19 games) at Monmouth.

Denver also had a virtual meeting with Minnesota State Moorhead quarterback Jack Strand, according to the Denver Post 's Luca Evans . Strand (6-5, 240 pounds) totaled 13,161 passing yards, 126 touchdowns and 50 interceptions over four seasons (42 games) at the Division II level. It was previously reported last week that the Broncos met with Rutgers quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis, which he confirmed during a recent interview with Justin Melo of Sports Illustrated .
