With the 2025-26 UNC basketball season officially in the books, we are kicking off our player review series with guard Kyan Evans. Last year, North Carolina hit the transfer portal hard as they had a need for some guards. One of the players the Tar Heels brought in was former Colorado State guard Kyan Evans.
He joined the Tar Heels after helping the Rams win the Mountain West Tournament as well as making it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. He was expected to be the Tar Heels' answer at point guard and while he started the year there, he was eventually replaced. 2025-26 stats: 4.

With RJ Davis and Elliot Cadeau entering the portal, it was a big target for the Tar Heels in the portal. When Evans committed, it felt like UNC had found a solution.
