Of course Jerry Jones stirred things up when asked about George Pickens and the franchise tag. Also, Tennessee's Jermod McCoy wowed at his pro day.

No fooling... Jerry Jones has kickstarted yet another round of Deal Or No Deal? : Cowboys Edition .

The latest came Tuesday when he was asked about George Pickens and the franchise tag. On the one hand, the Cowboys owner claimed that the club has "long-term plans" for the talented wide receiver coming off his best season. On the other hand, though, he also didn't sound overly enthusiastic about paying anything more than the $27.

3 million the tag promises for 2026... and the billionaire managed to take an obvious jab at agent David Mulugheta by suggesting that Pickens could take home more money for himself if he ditched the agent altogether. (That clearly worked out so well last year with Micah Parsons.

) Anyway, it seems Jones is perfectly content to let Pickens play on the tag... just as the team has done with so, so, so many other marquee players in recent years. For what it's worth, Jones also said he's fine with where things currently stand with Brandon Aubrey, as the club looks to retain the league's best kicker but still save a buck in the process.
