Tom hit the nail on the head, as he always does. Gania is a wonderful talent and is one of the best announcers to ever call baseball games, period. I have been a loyal SeaWolves fan since the team's beginning in 1995 and I have talked to Greg countless times.
He was even nice enough to bring me back lineup cards if Erie was playing on the road on my birthday. That is something not many people in his position would do and was greatly appreciated. I always told him that his calling of SeaWolves games was the soundtrack to my summer.
He will be very successful in Detroit and don't be surprised if he ends up being enshrined in Cooperstown as a Hall of Fame announcer someday!
