Catholic gets bats going in 6th to stop Trinity

Owensboro Catholic had a big sixth inning against Whitesville Trinity to propel it to the All ‘A’ 3rd Region Baseball Tournament championship. Catholic put up eight runs in the bottom of the sixth and batted around in the inning to help it win 10-3 Tuesday night at Independence Bank Field at Chautauqua Park. Karson White got things going with a line drive double to center that scored two runs and pushed Catholic in front 4-3.

Catholic will now advance to the All ‘A’ State Baseball Tournament, which will be April 25-26 at Daviess County High School. The All ‘A’ semistate will be before that at regional winners sites. Catholic will have to travel to the 4th Region winner.
