The 24-year-old reacted quickly in the 58th minute to poke the ball into the net after home goalkeeper Renaldo Leaner could only parry an Ismael Diaz shot. South Africa equalised six minutes later before Jiovany Ramos won the game for the Panamanians.

Cordoba is set to be part of the Panama squad for this year's World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico. They have been drawn in a group with England, Ghana and Croatia. The former Levski Sofia player will return to England in time for Norwich's Championship match at home with Portsmouth on Friday (15:00 BST).
