San Diego pitchers allow 16 hits, Padres lose second game to Giants
German Marquez lasts just three innings in Padres debut.

German Marquez started the second game of the series against the San Francisco Giants and struggled to get through three innings.
Marquez allowed four runs on eight hits with one walk and one strikeout, as the Padres dropped their second game to the Giants by the score of 9-3 at Petco Park, Tuesday. The outing for Marquez had an ominous start with San Francisco leadoff hitter Willy Adames starting the game with a home run down the left field line on the second pitch thrown by the right-hander that put San Diego in the hole 1-0. The Giants would go on to add two more runs in the inning and had a 3-0 lead before the Padres took their first at-bat.
