Metro standouts headline NMHSCA all-state hoops teams

Volcano Vista’s David Lunn, Cleveland’s Remy Albrecht, La Cueva’s Hunter Butler and Sandia’s Isaiah Brown were all named to the 5A first team.
Koulie Tou from Centennial was the fifth member of the first team. Two of Highland’s guards, Nico Sanchez and Juan Limas, were voted to the Class 4A first team. Two Artesia Bulldogs, Charlie Campbell and Braylon Vega, also were on the first team, which is rounded out by Malakhai Ely of Taos.
Three girls from Albuquerque – Jordyn Dyer of La Cueva, Kaiyah Benally of Sandia, Abby Pavia of Albuquerque High – are part of the girls Class 5A first team. Xoey Ross of Hobbs and Kjani Anitielu of Farmington are the other two first-teamers this season. Addie Spratley of Albuquerque Academy was the metro’s lone representative on the Class 4A first team.
