Ty Simpson plans to visit three other teams before draft
Ty Simpson will work out for three other NFL teams.
NFL insider Mike Garafolo is reporting that Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson will meet with three more NFL teams before the draft. The teams, according to Garafolo, are the Arizona Cardinals , Cleveland Browns , and a new team added to the mix, the Miami Dolphins . The Dolphins, as many know, just signed former Green Bay Packers quarterback Malik Willis, but obviously, they aren’t 100% sold he is their guy, or they wouldn’t be looking at Simpson.
As for the Cardinals and Browns, those two teams have been mentioned before as potential interested parties for obvious reasons. The Cardinals and Kyler Murray parted ways a few weeks ago, and he recently signed with the Minnesota Vikings, so they are seeking a replacement. The Browns have a crowded quarterback room with Shedeur Sanders, Deshaun Watson, and Dillon Gabriel.
However, head coach Todd Monken has a relationship with Simpson and his father going back to his days at Georgia. And general manager Andrew Berry made it clear that they are still very interested in Simpson. Simpson just finished a private workout with the New York Jets, and his draft stock continues to rise among several NFL teams.
It wouldn’t be a shocker if other teams like the LA Rams ask for a private workout as well. This article originally appeared on Touchdown Wire: Ty Simpson plans to visit three other teams before draft
