Falcons legend offers exciting praise for Tua Tagovailoa
Matt Ryan can't wait to see what the veteran NFL quarterback can do in Atlanta.
Tua Tagovailoa is set to embark on the next step of his NFL career as he joins the Atlanta Falcons . Tagovailoa spent the first six seasons of his journey in the league with the Miami Dolphins. Still, with the franchise firing their head coach and retooling their roster this offseason, the former Pro Bowl selection will now be playing for a new team.
Tagovailoa signed a one-year contract with the Falcons earlier in March, where he will be under the guidance of Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski. Tagovailoa will battle with Michael Penix Jr. for the starting role at the position, who has struggled with injuries since arriving in the league.
Tagovailoa enters the franchise with 18,166 passing yards, 120 passing touchdowns, and 59 interceptions over the course of his professional career. And while speaking live from the annual NFL League Meeting on Monday on the Up and Adams Show, new Falcons' President of Football Matt Ryan โ a former NFL MVP and All-Pro selection with the franchise โ let the world know just how highly he thinks of the team's newest quarterback. โAt his best, heโs one of the best timing and rhythm passers in the league," Ryan said .
