The Boston Red Sox were active in the trade market this offseason, and one of the moves they made netted them Caleb Durbin and Andruw Monasterio.

Durbin was the Milwaukee Brewers' everyday third baseman last season. He won the third base job during spring training, but has started the season 0-for-14. It's too early to say Durbin will not be good.

He showed last season that he can be a successful player. Monasterio gives the Red Sox some infield depth, coming off his best season as a hitter as well. Romy González will be back at some point as well, so the Red Sox do not really need an infielder at this time.

However, they will if Durbin does not start swinging it well or Marcelo Mayer begins to struggle. Adding another infielder actually seems like overloading the group, but Hyeseong Kim of the Dodgers would make plenty of sense as a trade target. Kim had a very strong rookie season, but he is stuck in Triple-A thanks to how deep the Dodgers are.

Kim hit . 280 in the big leagues last season and was a Gold Glover at second base in Korea. He hit well against lefties and righties in the big leagues and has tremendous speed.
