Edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux's future with the New York Giants has been a hot topic of discussion this offseason.
Thibodeaux is entering the final year of his rookie deal in 2026 after the Giants decided to pick up his fifth-year option for $14 million last offseason. However, the young pass rusher has been the subject of trade rumors over the last few months , and Bleacher Report's Alex Kay believes New York could look to move Thibodeaux during the 2026 NFL Draft in April. "While Thibodeaux's trade value isn't high after a disappointing 2025 showing, he still has some upside remaining that could net Big Blue a late-Day 2 or early-Day 3 pick.
It would be a fair return at this point for a player who has struggled to contribute and stay healthy," Kay wrote. Though Thibodeaux trade rumors have slowed down lately , there's still a chance the Giants deal him at some point, as it doesn't make much sense to keep the Oregon product with Brian Burns and Abdul Carter slated to be the starting edge rushers in New York. If that happens, the Green Bay Packers , San Francisco 49ers , and Kansas City Chiefs could be possible trade partners.
All three teams have a need at edge rusher, as the Packers are still looking for a replacement for Rashan Gary after they traded him to the Dallas Cowboys . Micah Parsons and Thibodeaux would be an exciting pass-rushing duo for Green Bay. San Francisco could also be interested in adding Thibodeaux and giving Nick Bosa a capable running mate.
