Ohio State basketball star makes the Reese's 2026 All-Star roster

Ohio State basketball senior Bruce Thornton, the program's all-time leading scorer, earns a spotlight in the Reese's Division I All-Star Game.

Ohio State basketball senior guard  Bruce Thornton  has been selected to play in the Reese’s Division I College All-Star Game, a fitting reward for a career that has put him among the most accomplished guards in program history. The annual showcase features top senior talent from across NCAA Division I and is played during Final Four weekend at Lucas Oil Stadium as part of Reese’s Final Four Friday . Thornton’s selection comes after a standout senior season in which he averaged a career-high 19.

9 points per game while also contributing 5. 1 rebounds and 3. 9 assists per game.

He shot a career-best 55. 4 percent from the field and finished the regular season with 677 points, the ninth-most in a single season in Ohio State history. He also led the Big Ten with 148 assists and posted a 3.

15 assist-to-turnover ratio, ranking among the nation’s best. His senior year capped a remarkable four-season run in Columbus. Thornton finished as Ohio State’s all-time leading scorer with 2,096 career points, passing Dennis Hopson, and became the first four-time captain in school history.
