6 overall pick in Round 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft, but it sounds like the franchise could be open to trading down. SportsBoom's Jason La Canfora believes Cleveland is the most likely team in the top ten of the draft to move down, and a general manager adds that the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs could be potential trade partners for the Browns. "Itโs tough to say now, this soon,โ a general manager said to La Canfora.
"But like could I see Kansas City going upโฆ? I mean, maybe (Cowboys owner) Jerry (Jones) if he thinks heโs a player away? " "But if you had to throw a dart right now at a spot where a top-10 trade seems likely, Iโd go with the sixth pick," La Canfora added.
Both Dallas and Kansas City have two first-round picks and a ton of capital, so it makes sense that they could be looking to move up for whoever their prized prospects may be. As for Cleveland, trading back would make sense. The franchise is looking to rebuild a roster that has posted two straight losing seasons, and adding even more capital to their already deep arsenal of picks would be a savvy move by general manager Andrew Berry.
