Tiger Woods announces departure following DUI arrest, PGA Tour makes statement
Tiger Woods released a statement on Tuesday

It marked his first public words since his DUI arrest last week.
In his statement Tiger announced that he will be stepping away to work on himself personally and professionally. pic. twitter.

There is no mention of that here, but he does acknowledge that there is seriousness to the situation that he finds himself in at this moment before saying that he is stepping away for a โperiod of timeโ to work on seeking treatment. Shortly after Tigerโs statement, the PGA Tour issued one of their own where they offered support.
