Michigan State, Arkansas to meet in non-conference clash over Thanksgiving
Michigan State Spartans head coach Tom Izzo announced a non-conference game against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Thanksgiving Day in 2026.
Thanksgiving Weekend has always been a fun time for college basketball, with marquee tournaments being played across the sport. On Tuesday, one of the biggest matchups of the year was announced for this coming season. Michigan State Spartans head coach Tom Izzo announced that his team would be playing the Arkansas Razorbacks in a non-conference game on Thanksgiving Day, played at Little Caesars Arena.
This will act as the second stint of an agreed-upon home-and-home series between the two teams. They last played on November 8, with the Spartans winning 69-66. Izzo says that the Michigan State-Arkansas game on Thanksgiving Day will follow the Detroit Lionsโ game that day in Detroit as well.
Both Michigan State and Arkansas made deep runs in the NCAA Tournament this year, with the Spartans going to the Sweet 16, where they fell to the UCONN Huskies, 67-63. Arkansas also made a run to the Sweet 16, where they fell to the Arizona Wildcats in a 109-88 blowout. Contact/Follow @College_Wire on X and @College_Wires on Threads.
