Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez returns to individual grass training
Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez returns to individual grass training Manchester United centre-back Lisandro Martinez has returned to individual grass training in a huge boost for Red Devils manager Michael Carrick. The Argentine has not played for Man United since February 10 and did suffer a minor setback after coming close to overcoming his calf injury. Martinez is pushing hard for a return to the side, taking the step up in his recovery having been doing strength and conditioning work in recent weeks.
Man United are traveling to Dublin for an intensive training camp after the international break and Martinez is expected to join them. The defender is pushing hard to prove his fitness ahead of the Premier League game against Leeds United on April 13. He has almost two weeks to do so and not many would be surprised if he is available for selection when the Whites visit Old Trafford for the game.
Martinez is unlikely to be thrown straight into action given his lack of match fitness, but he could be involved against Leeds and be ready to start games in the coming weeks.
