Tennessee football offers 2028 Louisiana four-star wide receiver
Tennessee football offers a scholarship to a 2028 four-star wide receiver from Louisiana.
Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2028 football signing class. The Vols offered a scholarship to four-star athlete Cayden Lancelin on Monday. "Blessed and honored to receive an offer from the University of Tennessee," Lancelin announced .
The 6-foot, 180-pound prospect primarily plays wide receiver for Westgate High School in New Iberia, Louisiana. In addition to football, Lancelin plays basketball and competes in track and field. 247Sports ranks him as the No.
2 athlete in 2028 and No. 1 player in Louisiana. Miami was the first school to offer Lancelin a scholarship on March 12, 2025.
Other schools to offer him scholarships include Mississippi State, Texas A&M , Baylor, Houston, Auburn , Kentucky, Tulane, LSU , TCU, Ole Miss, South Alabama and Syracuse. Tennessee does not have a commitment in its 2028 recruiting class. The Vols have six commitments in their 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace , offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo , defensive lineman Kadin Fife , quarterback Derrick Baker , athlete Jaden Butler and wide receiver KeSean Bowman .
