Tennessee Titans May Be Leaning Toward Jeremiyah Love at 4

Last year, there was little question what the Tennessee Titans would do with their first-round pick. Of course, that decision is much easier when in possession of the No. 1 overall pick and you have a clear need for a franchise quarterback.

This time around, the Titans’ first-round pick feels much more uncertain. Selecting fourth overall, the Titans won’t quite have their pick of the litter, but close. With just three others set to be selected before them, the Titans will certainly be able to land a blue-chip prospect.

The question is, who do the Titans have in mind? On Monday, Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi addressed the team’s upcoming first-round pick. To no surprise, he says the team will take the best player available.

“Where we’re at right now, we want to take the best player available,” Borgonzi said . “It depends on your roster construction, too, but where we are at, we are taking the best player available. We are taking the best football player.

” Okay, best player available is a wise decision for a team that won just three games a season ago. Yet, in this class, many would argue that player is none other than star Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love. There’s been great debate over how high Love will be selected, but he is viewed as a consensus top-five player.
