Miami quarterback Carson Beck could be the New York Jets' mid-round QB target in the 2026 NFL draft.

The New York Jets have been doing an extensive amount of homework on the quarterback prospects in the 2026 NFL draft . It makes sense. The team acquired a 35-year-old Geno Smith to play quarterback in 2026, buying them time to find a long-term solution.

Among the quarterbacks the Jets are vetting is Miami's Carson Beck. The Jets had dinner with Beck prior to the Hurricanes ' pro day, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. The Jets attended Miami's pro day , assessing the prospects in attendance.

Beck transferred from Georgia to Miami this past season and began rehabilitating his reputation. Beck was an excellent game manager for a stellar Hurricanes program in 2025. He helped them advance all the way to a National Championship appearance, solidifying himself as a legitimate NFL prospect in the process.

Jets offensive coordinator Frank Reich was seen having discussions with Beck at pro day. The Jacksonville, Florida native threw for 3,813 yards and 30 touchdowns in 2025. Beck appeared capable of running an NFL offense.
