A NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series racer who disparaged IndyCar driver David Malukas ' voice as "gay" is out of his ride. Daniel Dye , who had been suspended by NASCAR, posted on social media Tuesday, March 31, that he had been reinstated, but that he would step away from driving the No. 10 Kaulig Racing entry.
"After a lot of honest self-reflection and guidance from mentors I trust, I've decided the smartest move for my career is to realign my focus on my long-term objected of becoming a successful driver at the highest level of stock car racing," Dye posted. Kaulig Racing said in a post that it accepted his resignation and wishes him well. Corey LaJoie will take over the No.
10 truck. During a live stream while opening packages of trading cards, Dye mocked Malukas for an interaction they had during the IndyCar-NASCAR trucks weekend in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Dye used a high-pitched voice, meant to represent Malukas, before saying, "As soon as I start doing a David Malukas gay voice, I get a gold, so let's keep it going.
