PFF names Cleveland as best landing spot for former 49er's WR
Could the Cleveland Browns bring in the former 49er to improve a room that needs a ton of help?
The main focus for Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry during free agency this year has been to retool and rebuild the offensive line, and he's done a decent job at that. But the wide receiver room remains a mess and in need of talent, with Tylen Wallace, who is mostly a returner, being the only addition the team has made to that room this offseason. PFF recently published an article naming the Cleveland Browns as the best landing spot for free agent and former San Francisco 49er Jauan Jennings.
If you count the two playoff games last year, Jennings finished with 711 receiving yards after having 975 yards in his breakout fourth season in 2024. Jennings is a former seventh-round pick for San Fran in the 2020 NFL draft. There is no arguing that adding Jennings to the Browns would upgrade the position, but he's known to be a bit of a locker room issue kind of guy, even spurring some strong words from Shelby Harris this past season.
The team doesn't need any more issues in their locker room as they try to rebuild, so I don't think they should sign Jennings. This article originally appeared on Browns Wire: Browns named landing spot for Jauan Jennings
