On March 31, McCoy ran a fast 40 at UT's indoor facility, surrounded by NFL scouts who came to see him sprint with no effects of the ACL tear that had sidelined him since January 2025. McCoy gave them what they hoped he see.

38 seconds. Undoubtedly, that information came from McCoy's agent and corroborated by NFL scouts at the event. That would've tied McCoy for the second-fastest time among cornerbacks at the NFL scouting combine.
