Kentucky and Mark Pope may have their first transfer portal target

The Kentucky Wildcats and coach Mark Pope may have an early transfer portal target in a former Butler guard.

The Kentucky Wildcats basketball team, and coach Mark Pope are going to have a busy month of April. After a disappointing season that ended against Iowa State, there figures to be a lot of changes with the team. Two assistant coaches are already out, with former NBA player Mo Williams replacing one of them.

Jaland Lowe is also the first of what could be several players to enter the transfer portal. As he has in both of his first two seasons, Pope is going to be heading looking to add talent through the portal, once it opens later in the month. Already the names are piling up as announcements are made, and one name is rumored to be a potential target.

Finley Bizjack spent the last three seasons at Butler, where he started as a three-star recruit, and developed into a star for them. Last season, he averaged 17. 1 points per game while shooting 35% from three-point range.

He projects as a sixth man who can provide scoring bursts off the bench at a major program. He also would bring one of the great last names in college basketball to the squad. Bizjack is said to be exploring NBA options as well, so a decision may not come soon for him.
