Notre Dame baseball still trending to make Tournament despite sweep
Notre Dame baseball got swept by North Carolina putting some doubt into their NCAA Tournament hopes. Are they still projected to make it?
Notre Dame baseball had a rough past weekend, as they were swept by North Carolina and dropped out of the top-25 rankings . There is some worry that after a bad weekend that the Irish might be trending away from returning to the NCAA Tournament, but that might not be the case. Micah Beutell on social media posted his updated bracketology for the end of March and has Notre Dame firmly in the field.
He has then as a No. 2 seed in the Oregon regional, along with the Ducks, Vanderbilt and Nevada would be in that bracket. At the current moment, host Oregon is ranked as the No.
15 team nationally by D1Baseball . Notre Dame is 15-9, 6-6 in the ACC with a weekend series coming up against NC State. The Wolfpack host the Irish and are 18-10, 3-6 in conference play but still pose a tough challenge.
