Rams' ideal draft fit is record-setting 6-foot-3 speedy receiver for Matthew Stafford originally appeared on The Sporting News . Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here . The Los Angeles Rams entered the offseason with two first-round picks, but they shipped one off to the Kansas City Chiefs to land Trent McDuffie, resolving their biggest need.

Now, with their 13th overall selection courtesy of the Atlanta Falcons , the Rams won't be forced into a specific position. Instead, they can target someone who could have an instant-impact on the team's Super Bowl chances in 2026. ESPN's Matt Bowen identified the player who fits such a description for the Rams as the 6-foot-3, 241-pound receiver who broke the NFL Combine record for fastest 40-yard dash for a tight end.

This player is the Oregon Ducks, TE Kenyon Sadiq. Rams linked to Kenyon Sadiq as perfect fit in NFL Draft "The Rams don't have a major need at tight end, but Sadiq should be viewed as a matchup player for Sean McVay's offense," Bowen writes. Adding Sadiq, a tight end, to a room with Colby Parkinson, Tyler Higbee, and Terrance Ferguson might seem redundant, but he could factor into the offense as much more than a tight end.

Sadiq could be a power slot option in the offense with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams on the outside. He could also factor into formations with three tight ends or two tight ends and be a much more viable receiving threat that defenses can't ignore. More : Puka Nacua, Byron Young, other 2023 draft picks expected to be extended by Rams This pick only makes sense as an ideal fit in the sense that the Rams have no major needs on the roster, and instead of simply adding depth, taking someone with incredible upside would make a lot of sense.
