It's not too early to know that when the San Francisco Giants ' new manager opens his mouth, it's worth listening. You never know what he might say. This is a guy who has already speculated that his "fire and brimstone" speech was the reason the Giants were too fired up to begin the season, and who has said it's different coaching pros because he can't "talk down to his players" like he did as head coach at Tennessee.

So it's no surprise that after the Giants' first win of the season, Vitello was at it again. He was trying to explain what had contributed to the early losses compared to the victory. This is what he said, via The Athletic : "I really don't feel like there's been a tightness, like waiting for bad things to happen, or guys yelling at each other.

I just think there's been an emotional charge of really wanting to do well. If you ask Kanye -- I think he's out with a new album -- if you try hard, you die hard. Strange fellow, but he don't miss much on the music, not that you asked.
