Mount Notre Dame hires Dani Szczepanski as next volleyball head coach

Szczepanski won three state titles as a player at Mount Notre Dame and was an assistant coach on the 2020 championship team.

Mount Notre Dame has hired 2016 graduate Dani Szczepanski as its next volleyball head coach. She moves down one seat one the bench, having been an assistant coach with the Cougars since 2020. During her time on staff, MND won the 2020 Division I state title and advanced to the state tournament in 2021 and 2025.

She takes over for Greg Ulland, who had a 49-29 record in three seasons. Szczepanski also has state championship experience as a player. Featured as a middle blocker, she tallied 677 kills, 247 blocks, 141 digs and 40 aces as the Cougars lifted three straight trophies from 2013 to 2015.

She was named to the All-Ohio first team as a junior and senior, and was an All-America honorable mention as a senior. Szczepanski played at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, appearing in over 100 matches during her career. She was named to the All-Southern Conference freshman team in 2026 and the all-conference second team in 2018.
