Steelers linked to major 2026 NFL Draft trade

NFL draft analyst Eric Edholm floated a huge 2026 NFL Draft trade idea involving the Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks.

NFL Draft trade speculation is beginning to pick up steam, and the Pittsburgh Steelers find themselves right in the middle of one red-hot take. According to a 2026 NFL Draft projection from Eric Edholm of NFL. com, the Steelers could draft Penn State guard Vega Ione with the 21st overall pick and trade back into the first round with the Seattle Seahawks.

Pittsburgh is projected to give up its 2026 second-round, 2026 third-round, 2026 fifth-round, and 2026 sixth-round picks to select Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson with the No. 32 pick. "I'm even thinking specifically about Arizona State's Jordyn Tyson, who might be the most gifted of the WR bunch but could slip because of a lengthy injury history," Edholm wrote.

"Other gifted receivers also make sense, but if Tyson is somehow there, it should be a no-brainer. He screams Steelers receiver and McCarthy receiver and is exactly the separator they need. Tyson's history working with Hines Ward at ASU would render instant cred in Pittsburgh, too.

" Edholm added that the Seahawks "look very much" like a team interested in trading down, given their four total selections in the draft. If Tyson, whose injury history has generated a lot of buzz in the past few weeks, ultimately slides to pick No. 32, it would be a no-brainer for the Steelers to trade back into the first round to solidify their wide receiver corps as one of the best in the league.
