Michigan football loses 2027 OL commit Tristan Dare
Michigan football's 2027 recruiting class sees a decommitment from three-star offensive lineman Tristan Dare.
Recruiting is fluid, and that includes those who are or have been committed for some time. Michigan football went into Tuesday with six commitments in the 2027 class, with three having come in the past week. But it appears as if one of the longest-tenured pledges is going to seek an opportunity elsewhere.
2027 Southlake (Tx. ) Carroll three-star interior offensive lineman Tristan Dare has been committed to the Wolverines since before the 2025 season had kicked off. Having pledged to Sherrone Moore, Grant Newsome, and the old staff, Dare initially stayed on when Kyle Whittingham was hired in late December.
However, according to Rivals' Hayes Fawcett, Dare is decommitting and will look for a new opportunity elsewhere. The Wolverines still have two offensive linemen pledged with Louis Esposito (son of former defensive line coach Lou Esposito) and newly-committed tackle Sidney Rouleau in the class.
