Collin Morikawa withdrew from the Valero Texas Open, delaying his return from a back injury before the Masters.
Collin Morikawa withdrew Tuesday ahead of the 2026 Valero Texas Open in San Antonio. Morikawa was expected to make his first start since being sidelined with a back injury suffered during the first round of the Players Championship on March 12. Morikawa pulled out before his scheduled pro-am tee time at 10:21 a.
m. ET, and he was scheduled to conduct a press conference following playing nine holes. Morikawa won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February and climbed back into the top 10 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
He entered this week at No. 8. Morikawa was the leader in the season-long FedEx Cup when he teed off in the first round at The Players.
